Beginnings
Real estate isn’t just the career I chose, in many ways, it’s the world I grew
up in. As a second-generation Realtor, I learned early that buying or selling a
home is about much more than contracts and square footage. It’s about people,
timing, family, finances and sometimes a whole lot of emotion. I became licensed in 1996, and three decades later, I still
genuinely love what I do. Over the years, I’ve helped clients navigate just
about every kind of market imaginable, from fast-moving seller’s markets to
challenging transactions that require patience, creativity and a little
old-fashioned persistence. I’ve been in real estate long enough to know
that experience matters but caring never goes out of style.
Work & Skills
Thirty years in real estate has taught me that no two
clients, homes or transactions are exactly alike. My job isn’t simply to open
doors or put a sign in the yard, it’s to anticipate problems, explain the
options, negotiate fiercely when needed and make an often complicated process
feel manageable. My experience spans residential sales, relocation, luxury
homes, equestrian and acreage properties, first-time buyers, seasoned
homeowners and families purchasing property for their college students. I
believe clients deserve both strategy and straight answers, and I’m never
afraid to have the conversation that needs to be had. You don’t need an agent
who simply knows how to complete a transaction. You need someone who knows how
to navigate one. Experience isn’t about how many years you’ve worked. It’s
knowing what to do when the transaction doesn’t go according to plan.
Why Erika?
Clients work with Erika because she brings something
increasingly difficult to find: decades of experience without losing the
personal touch. She’s knowledgeable without being intimidating, candid
without being pushy and competitive when it matters most. Erika believes her
clients should understand the why behind their real estate decisions
rather than simply being told what to do. Whether she’s preparing a home to hit the market, analyzing
the numbers on a purchase, negotiating an inspection or helping someone decide
if Colorado is the right next chapter, Erika approaches every transaction the
same way educate first, communicate often and always protect the client’s best
interests. Real estate may be the transaction. People are the reason I’ve
stayed in this business for 30 years.
My Approach
I’ll give you my professional opinion, even when it isn't
necessarily the answer you were hoping to hear. I’ll explain your options, tell
you where I see opportunity and point out potential problems before they become
expensive surprises.
I believe good real estate representation should feel like
having an experienced advisor sitting on your side of the table someone who
understands the market, sees the bigger picture and isn't afraid to advocate
for you. And while real estate is serious business, I don't believe
the process has to feel stiff or impersonal. We can negotiate contracts, solve
problems and still laugh along the way.
